Mountain Mayhem Returns 2019 let the planning and BS begin

Latest Instagram/Sadface update, pretty sure we've seen that arena picture before. Here's praying it's not a lake.

Next week this area will become an arena - you only have a few more hours to be a part of it as entries close at midnight. Don’t miss out.

Is anyone else bringing nippers with them?

My lad (9) who's shown zero interest until about a fortnight ago is now fired up for the mini mayhem on my zaskar.
And the younger one (3) is going to give it a go on her balance bike.

Will they be the only ones from camp retrobike?

Not to say I don't have confidence in the weather or anything... but I've just picked up a pair of mud tyres...

Not long now!!!

What have you chosen I can't seem to make up my mind

I think with lots of vegetation cover on the course and some rain expected towards the end of the week it may be muddy.

Geax Gato Mud tyres. They're a 26x1.7, entirely not retro, and cheap as hell.

Mucho cheapness is important to me :)

TBH, I got them from ebay for £10 a pair delivered - hard not to at that price, and it may mean the difference between riding and pushing - I was thinking the same in that the venue has never been used for MTB, other than fire roads it's hard to know how it'll hold up.

Re:

I still have the same tyres on my Kona as when I bought it from THM yonks ago  , they are cracking so think it's time to upgrade.
