It shouldn't do, depending on position they might use wire eroding. If you can just drill through to sort it out do that mate.
Sounds like a soft easy out. A good one* is high carbon and hardened, not just case hardened. Hateful things. Make sure you pay tribute to the workshop gods and sacrifice a 10mm on the alter of clean ways.And none of my centre punches would even scratch the easy-out, I was lucky enough to be able to hold the workpiece (fork) at the right angle to start the drill cutting without skating off to the side
That reminds me, a masonry bit is tc tipped.
This is a great tip that often worksThen get a left hand drill bit and drill out the bolt. Left hand is great as it may undo the bolt as it does its thing.
