Modernised or ruined?

Not sure if you'll like it or loathe it, but I LOVE it!

Threw some new shiny bits at it and they took well to it, though I'm still to shorten the brake lines.

Personally since full-sussers look more modern than hardtails anyway I think it works.

Nowt wrong with that - keep and the headshock parts and if someone ever wants to they can go back to original if they want.

Looks good - very tidy IMO.

How does the frame perform with the decent suspension and discs?

Glad to hear all good views so far.

Only had it out to make sure everything was working as it should, but the levers need stiffened up a bit, but so far so good. Never managed to source a suitable rear shock, so it's still the Vanilla. It works fine though, but front shock appears quite noisy. Might settle down a bit after a while...will be doing the commute to work and back tomorrow, so will see what happens.

I certainly thinks it looks good. Nothing wrong with some mixing, though personally I would have tried to salvage the headshock, as it is so connected to Cannondale and this model.

Trying to keep the Headshok sounded a bit of a task tbh. Too much for me anyway.

I like it. How does the rear perform? Not too bouncy pedalling?

This is my first bike in around 15 years, so I can't really compare it to anything. I will say it feels pretty taut, though could be doing with a touch stiffer. Not had it offroad much tbh though.
