Modern brakes on old frames

Hi, not technically linked to the title but...

I have some Campag Veloce dual pivot brakes that have received the 'main recessed bolt doesn't fit in the frame so I'll shorten it and just bolt it to the front of the forks and place the but inside the fork rather than behind it' modification, so I need a new long bolt for the front fork, note that I've filled the back of the fork to accept the recessed nut, probably weakened it but hey.

Question is, where do you buy the long front fork nuts from? They need to have a thin head as they are recessed into the caliper rather than sitting proud. SJS Cycles have this one but cryptically there is no confirmation that they fit Veloce brakes.

That could have been the question I needed to ask...duh... Does anyone know if these fit Campag Veloces?

Can you still get a genuine campag bolt?
They hold spares for *ages* and at a guess, the current brakes will possibly still use the same (or at least a compatible) bolt.

Also, check the front of the crown for cracks, mounting a brake like that is pretty high risk and has lots of loads that the crown really isn't designed for.

Page 63 part number BR-VL115 seems to be the original part. Have a look through the more recent spare part catalogues for campag and see if the part number is duplicated.
