Thus, the first thing here would be the bike of the title in restoration or at least as close as possible to the original..
The question was about renewing the gilding, except for the bow, they are in pretty bad shape.

How to implement?

Here in Finland, I've asked about electrolytic gilding and they won't do it unless parts are removed, i.e. the frame is disassembled.
I'm not quite ready to try to disassemble because I'm afraid I'll break the carbon fiber tubes.

Didn’t someone apply gold leaf to a Rocky Mountain on here, don’t know if that would work or stay on there?

I reckon the best solution you’re going to get is painting the gold parts with gold paint then lacquer. Disassembling something like that fries my brain!
