Whats the score with mint sauce? I see an old poster sell the other day on ebay for £16! How rare are they? I've just had to go up into the loft to have a dig out. What are retro mags worth now days? I must have around 40+ mags MBUK,Mountain biking international plus others. Most of them have mint sauce comic strips and posters. They go back to 91. Also found an old Sachs broucher from 95 range with disc brakes in! I thought this was a rescent thing to the mountain bike world. Cant wait to flick throught he old mags should give me something to do for the next month.

I chucked all my mbuk's out years ago!

Old mags have a value this year :?

You couldn't give them away in 2010  I've thought about giving an old mag away with each new bike sold .

Xizang here I come!

Nah, I doubt they're worth that much really. Happy to be proved wrong though!

Old mags have no real value unless you are after a particular feature. Magazine based mint sauce strips are effectively worthless. What does fetch reasonable money is the decorative pieces such as the calendars, stickers and posters. It's a reflection of mountain biking in jo burts art rather than the magazine they were supplied with.

I was bidding on the poster the other week. It depicted mint on a green pace in a glass show case if I recall correctly. To me that's worth money ( as apparently it was to some one else as they put bid me!

I sold my formaldehyde poster a couple of years ago to kestonian For a fiver as I knew he wanted one and I found my mint one in a pile of mags .

I've got the "just one more hill poster" on my wall at work - came free with mbuk at fort william a few years back.

Magazine values are really down to catching a readers prime, I love mbuk issues from 90-92 I've paid £4 posted for each one I've got but there are more I'd still like.

The real value items are the zen keyring and the eternal reek of damp wool booklet as they are hardly up for sale.

I've got the zen keyring somewhere but his arms snapped off!
