Re:
Hi folks,
Starting to make a bit of progress with this build.
As previously mentioned, I had a headset on the way. Well, as it turns out, I got 90% of it in the end. The seller didn't post one of the plastic washers  , contacted him, and now it's on it's way.
Also, thought I'd better check the hubs, as I hadn't greased them in a while. Sadly found that the front one was dead. Dreaded pitting in the hub body
So I ordered another one, that arrived today.
As you can see, it's a 6500, so a bit newer than the 6400, but it matches the rear 6500 nicely. An hour later, the original wheel had been stripped, and the new hub in place, also with new spokes. There's plenty of meat on the rim thankfully.
Also gave up with the Bianchi paint, it's crap!
Went to Tesco with the frame, and came out with something a lot better.
Ironically, with added lycra!
Not a bad match and a lot thicker than the other stuff I was using. Here's a couple more shots to show you the closeness.
The top of the seat tube was bare metal, also you can see some more touch-ups just above and to the left of the Columbus sticker. Very happy with match, and will be doing all the rest of the chips this weekend.
