I need to replace the headlight switch on my motorbike. The current switch has a functional bracket to hold it, but the new switch is a larger diameter plus I want the bracket to look better:



I don't have the tools (or skill) to make something that would look nice enough. Any suggestions of place I could get to make this simple bracket? Or even anyone on here willing to take the commission?

If you want metal you could get something laser cut quite efficiently if you could provide a drawing of what you wanted?
I've used: https://accurate-laser.co.uk/ - good service, helpful and hard to beat price wise on the jobs I've done with them. They also do bending if required.
Have you only got a single fixing point available?

Ah brilliant. I had seen service in the US and was hoping there might be suggestions/recommendations for UK companies. Thank you! I could certainly produce accurate drawings or even CAD if necessary.
There's only a single fixing point at the moment. I could create another, but I think it would be easiest to stick with the same basc concept, just something that will facilitate the new diameter and looks a lot better.
Do you have any photos of anything you have had them make?

Unfortunately no photos as what I've ordered (generally) is a sub-component of more complex assemblies which are sometimes sub-assemblies of.........etc. I know they're good and fast but you will also likely have someone local if you have a search.

I was also going to suggest printing something as per @novocaine kind offer above but I'd personally want to have it supported on more than one fixing unless using some super-dooper-jilly-cooper material.

Thank you for the offer. There's no particular rush, but I'd prefer something metal. Plastic would have advantages, such as being lighter, but for aesthetic reasons I'd like a metal bracket.

OK, I could do aluminium but I'm feeling lazy, so nope. if you change your mind I can do it in bright orange, black or purple.

no offence intended but i think your over thinking it
it should be easy enough to knock up a simple bracket at home a company would charge over the odds especially if they design it in cad first
where do you want the switch to be located
what is the switch on the bars for
is mounting in the top of the headlight an option
whats your location
a quick way would be to use some perspex as a template cut it out with cutting disc on grinder, lay in postion mark the holes you can even use a soldering iron to make the holes then you have a template to make it out of metal

Yer, whilst I agree with you, not everybody feels the desire to make stuff. Id knock up something in minutes with a hand saw and a file, or as I said, print one. But some people (no offence footy) don't want to or have the desire to. Each to their own.

I do enjoy making stuff myself, but apart from not having the tools or space I would probably need to make 30-40 before I had the skill to make one I was happy wih.

This is the example from the switch listing:



but I only need one switch, prefer the location in front of the bars, and ideally want something nicer looking than that.

For reference, other (non-original) parts on the bike are waiting for replacements from Japan just because I saw something in milled aluminium that I could argue would have a slight benefit but realistically cannot be rationally justified.
