Mercian Olympic resprayed

Thought I'd post images of my Mercian Olympic, which I've just had resprayed (again) by Mercian. I bought this from Loot in about 1990, it was metallic green then and around ten years old. IIRC it had a mix of Suntour, Campag and Shimano parts (shock horror yes someone mixed C & S up). Back in the day, I had it resprayed from green, to dark purple and a light metallic pink/purple, by Harry Halls in Manchester. I then fitted a mix of Shimano 600 and 105 to it. I still have all those bits and pieces, they're on a shelf waiting to be put back on. I might do that next week. They managed to save the stem (seized), but unfortunately the 600 seatpost is now toast. I have a lovely Regal saddle complete with the top half of that seatpost, lol.

I have a few of them, they're ideal for keeping bikes indoors. I'd rather look at bikes than paintings or pictures
