I came very very very close to buying this! I only decided against it because it was too good and I wanted a project to work on.

Yes, it's a cracking machine alright. Certainly not a project - but there's a few minor things I'll probably do. Maybe fit a Brooks saddle, some 600EX pedals plus clips, slightly shorter stem and suchlike. All in all it's a gem - I'll just add a bit of sparkle for me!

The upper band on the seat tube is scraped. Best way to remove it for replacement? I'm thinking bit of warmth, WD, alu foil? Whaddya think?

Is it a self adhesive band? If so hair dryer. Water slides and gold size are trickier, I've used a plastic scraper with a lot of care.

I think it's the usual sticky from Hlloyd. So hair dryer and plastic scraper. I've read about plastic razor blades! What the hell are they? Not much good for shaving methinks...

Pick the corner up and peel and heat. Don't think you'll need a scraper.
