Why am I finding it so difficult to setup my BB7
Using 180mm rotor with spacer...that shouldn't be an issue. Had them before and remembered them to be easy. Any hints, and I have watched that YouTube video

Not sure what 'that' YouTube vid will have suggested but because they are a single moving pad, the easiest way I've found to set them up is to dial the inside pad out so there's plenty of it showing, do the 'loosen bolts, grab brake, tighten bolts' thing then dial the inside pad back in a bit and the outside pad out a bit. You can also do the 'loosen/grab/tighten' and then very slightly loosen one bolt at a time and push the caliper very slightly towards the wheel.

Make sure the concave/vex washers are all free to move, mine had gotten a bit furred up and stuck together.

What are you finding is wrong with them?

Rotor rub? Could be the rotor rather than the caliper setup?

Power? Have you bedded them in? Are you using compressionless outer?

I've also got this job coming up for the first time in the next few days (my first disc brake setup). The link and advice will probably come in handy!

Re:

Cheers for the link, got some on the tandem I bought recently & will need adjusting now I have sorted out the cabling & put bigger rotors on :)
