Mech advice- 3x9 wide range hybrid

I'm lacking front and rear mechs on my soon to be built rc300 roady- wondering what I'd be best with in terms of mech? I ran a 9 speed lx on the orange this build will be similar too, but it was a bit tight given I'm running a big old road ring on the crank- not sure what Iwould work best if I'm honest? Maybe a long cage xt? Or something xc or road orientated? Suggestions and offers welcome!

I have used long cage deore xt on road bikes for audax and touring, doubles and triples 8 speed, no problems at all, excellent units and mine were m735 version.

I used one if those briefly on the orange thinking about it- worked a lot better than the lx even though technically the wrong speed. Maybe the newer 9sp xt would be just as good too...
