[edit]

I now need a Mavic 531 rear hub or wheel šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø 36 hole prefered.

I'd also consider an alternatie Mavic rear, such as 501/571/572/577.

[previous search]

I'm undecided whether to change my planned wheelset for one of my builds (although this probably isn't the best time to be spending money without selling first) so I thought I'd put out some feelers to see what's available.

I'd consider any nice silver wheels or hubs. Ideally, the hubs would have a more satin finish than full polished, but it would depend on how they fitted with the other components. Some preferences:
* a matching wheelset would be easiest, but I'm happy to find rims and build wheels for a nice set of hubs
* UK/European parts would fit well, but the build is not strictly restricted to them.
* I'd happily consider road hubs and respce the rear if they were right for the build

Some examples of hubs that might suit the build that I haven't found affordable ones of yet would be Mavic 501/531, Sachs New Success, Campagnolo Victory (especially the high flange), Edco or Royce (which I don't think I'll ever find at a price I can afford).

So ... anything you have that might be suitable? If you have single hubs I would also consider them, as I have seen options I would be tempted by if I could fins a matching hub.

In terms of single hubs, a Mavic front hub would certainly be helpful.

Or these FIR hubs I hadn't seen before today šŸ˜

Are they 126 or 130mm? I was really thinking of the slightly newer 501/531, but I'll think about whether they would look good instead.

The frame is 135mm, but I would consider respacing a hub if it's possible.
You probably find it a bit difficult to find 135mm axle for the mavic 501 hubs as they were mainly road bike hubs I know the 531 was the MTB version and are pretty much the same but its possible to make one if you have a friend with a lathe.

Not UK/European, and not satin finish, so probably not hat you're after but I've got a set of wheels with White Industries hubs, S-Works rims, and Ti spokes.
