Marzzochi Bomber O4 Rattle

I have a set of Bomber o4 Z1 Drop off forks which still seem to work ok apart from the lock out doesn't work which i dont use anyway but the forks have a rattle which sounds like loose springs in the top stantions.

Im assuming its something to do with the lock out so anyone got any idea's whats up with them ?

Remove the top caps and take a look. Might be a bad spring retainer, if you up the spring preload does it make a difference?

Could be just general spring rattle, remove spring and cover it in heat shrink wrap perhaps?
