now the bushings are out i could spray some WD40 down the rear of the threads of the the air valves, they then came out really easily.

the brake studs are out as well which makes work on the legs much easier :)


work on the legs has now began...

i wanted to keep as much of the shiny surface under the stickers as possible to make a better finish once polished, but due to the amount of residue left behind they had to be sanded

Word of advise having done this recently.... And regretted it.

Refit the air valves and mask them up prior to painting (if you are going to), as I found masking the holes ineffectual, and now I have to clean the very fine threads of paint before I refit the valves

Incidentally, can you poss measure the o-rings on the valves...? Mine came out in many pieces and need to find some new ones

thanks for the advice, i might insert a bolt the same thread size when painting, that way i dont risk getting paint on the valve itself...

If they are M8x1 use a crank bolt
If they are M8x0.75 use a chainring bolt

Update for mine:

I contact with the Hungarian Marzo service, they charge 40$ for the repair, including oil change, but not including the price of the seals, anyway, they haven't got them.
So, I need to buy the seal kit.

I found these two type on the net, have You got any experiences, or better offers for me (with shipping to Hungary)?

Breaking news: Yesterday I bought a 737 crankset, and the owner after a lot chatting give me two new valves for the Z2 as a gift... :)

And the service told me, if the fork haven't got mechanical damage, 99% after service it will holds the air... :) So I hope so.

I dont have any stickers yet cus the original plan was to polish around the factory fitted ones but im gonna have to get some printed Soon. i made this template on photoshop to have a mess around with some colours, its not perfect but you get the idea :)
