Marzocchi Z1 BOMBER

Hello everyone!

I recently perchased a pair of Z1 BOMBER forks for a bit of a bargin! They were in rough shape and had no oil in them! Ive stripped them down cleaned and serviced although the stanchions have a good amount of damage including deep scratches and rust just below the seal line ! They do work now although they have abit of a leak as the seals are not great either ! I couldnt tell you the year of these bombers as all the dates of production seem to have been scratched out !

The information im after is:

Does anyone have a set of z1 30mm 255mm stanchion theyrr interesting in parting with

Does anyone have 30mm marzocchi seals for sale

Does anyone know the recogmended oil weights and levels for z1s

ill get somevimages up as soon as i can !

Yeah that's the problem with "bargain" marzoochis. By the time youve finished "sorting" them you could have bought a decent set for what it's cost you. Never mind, all the fun is in the tinkering

Re:

Haha yeah to be fair ain’t that the truth I only paid £30 for them and they’re pretty mint besides the stanchions and the seals but

I’ve found a gentleman in Germany who goes by the name Dr Marzocchi he has seal and z1 BAM stanchion although the stanchions are a little bit shorter should this be a problem to have the internal spring compressed so instead of 255mm they’re 225mm

Re:

Cheers thanks for the info, Anyways I’ll post some shots later if you wouldn’t mind telling me if you think they’re usable that would be ace :)
