does anyone know if the lowers from a set of 98 z1's will fit the uppers of a set of 2001 super t's ?

i had a thought and you know me , i like to mess around with stuff

They will physically fit yes, if they bushes and things are in the right place is another matter. If they were the same travell then you would almost certainly be OK, but as they arent I would expect you to have issues.

The double to single crown bit isnt an issue. The problem is what travel the lowers were designed to take. This was at the time when the lowers of Zocchi forks were all travel specific remember. If the supers were 100mm I would expect them to be ok, if they are 130mm (which I think they are) I would expect problems.

i think the super t''s are 130 or 150mm travel ? the legs are the same size/length....
