Bit of a riddle here! A customer contacted me today, asking for steel spring sets for his 1993 MARIN Team FRS as he said.
When I looked at the decals, I said: 1994 of course! Altough the Manitou 2 back and front clearly indicates 1993.
Okay, maybe some previous owner had them replaced at some point in time to 1994 although the frame is 1993, I thought.
The seller sais, the bike has NO serial number at all under the bottom bracket. Only the "Made in Taiwan" MARIN typical sticker.
I also noticed that the welding of the back part to the seat tube is slightly different than I am used to. I own a 1993 as well as several 1994 Team FRS bikes. I couldnt find any other difference to my orignals. Everything else and every detail on the frame looks very original MARIN FRS.
What do you guys say?
