End of March was the new model supply date if i remember correctly, so up till then you could still buy an 89 in 90........ but catalogues started to appear late in the previous year. As always, i think we were a bit behind the states.
Nice to see another one....not so many 89s about as 90 or 91.....
For my money, i would go with a 91, as they are easier to upgrade / live with, due to the 1 1/8" head, a harder wearing frame with cast dropouts and a stiffer rear end thanks to afterburner thicker stays.
