Marin Rockstar (?) Forx

the rockstar forks did change. I don't know the specifics, but the original ones form the 95 team marin are very light. I read somewhere here on the forum that there are different ones which are quiet a bit heavier. The pine mountain rockstars of the same year are almost the same. Only difference is the colour of the Rockstar decal. This matches the colour of the frame decals. Hope this helps (a very tiny little bit...)

Not 100 but i reckon that the steel framed Marins had steel tange forks and Alloy versions had alloy (wishful thinking)

I had a 95 Muirwoods and still have my 96 IFT (sans forks :/)

Thing that confuses me is that some seemed to be USA tubing and others outsourced from the far east :/

This is true for the white industries components - the USA cranksets were stamped/embossed and the Eastern ones just had a print on them :/ I felt kinda robbed when i noticed that mine weren't USA editions.
Unsure if any of this affected quality of components/metal.

Why the mix and match i dunno....... anyone?
