Marin FS? Need advice..

Manitou licenced the FS design to a couple of companies

The fact that your isn't cracked suggests its a Marin and the serial number confirms it. Also the fact that the chain stay bridge and the rear crown are solid is the other give away, Manitou ones were CNC'd. .

Check the catalogues in the archive if you don't believe me.... ( I have a real Manitou FS...)

Are you sure it's not cracked?

They tend to go at the extreme ends of the chainstay, near the point where the chainstay attaches behind the BB shell. This is mine below. Yours is a 1995 Team FRS. Mines a 95 Nail FRS, but I have all the bits to build it as a Team... Only diff will be the rear suspension units... Fortunately my elastomers seem OK...

Mine is currently away having it's chainstay rewelded and some strengthening pieces added for good measure. The original is a very crappy piece of design.

When it comes back, I just need a decal kit to finish it off...

As far as elastomers go, for the front the elastomers comes out by unscrewing the dials on each side of the fork. You will find they are collapsed or mush or both.

The rear is trickier, undo the allen bolts on the crown, this should allow you to carefully tap the legs out of the crown. Then use lots of WD40/GT85 and get it to penetrate into the stanchions... twisting the leg may then get them freed off... Refer to the above on state of rear elastomers...

They are available here, not sure if rear are identical...

I'm damn sure it ain't cracked, everything looks and feels solid except the moving parts. I'll post pics later on as soon as I order the parts. ( cash is already missing lol!)

So your all saying that I need new elastomers? sound fine,
But I ain't using WD40 again, had bad experiences with that

@Ringo I'll have some questions for you later on by pm
