Marin Bike

Evening all, I have been given this Marin bike. Can’t see a specific model on the frame but it is shimano 21 speed xtr with pace kevlar rc-35 forks. I was just going to scrap the bike but a few people have said that these retro bikes might be worth something, especially the from forks. The bike itself is not in great condition with lots of marks on the frame and the seat is damaged slightly but I guess might be good a project bike to restore it to its former glory. Has anyone got an idea of what it could be worth or even the model?

Its an upper end marin. Probably a team issue. Shop bought.
From 1992 i think.
Providing the damage to the steel frame is only lacquer peel, scratches etc....itll refinish nicely.
It theres no cracks or big-ass dents, it should fetch £250 as it is.
A refurb to it all may fetch £350-400.
The market can fool everyone.
But, there's a few quid in it. for you.

Thanks for the useful information that’s great. Yes it’s just scratches really and the lacquer that is affected. There are no dents or actual damage to the frame itself. I appreciate your reply
