Pretty sure it's not a Team Issue too - they had cable stops on the headtube rather than the downtube.

Probably a stupid question, but if the forks were 29ers would the brakes work with 26" wheels?

IIRC, Marins are 395mm A to C on the fork length. The forks fitted look like new project 2s, like the ones available recently from CRC (?), but in 440mm length, hence the front end looks raised up.

It would be helpful to post up the frame number as this would confirm the model and year.
