This appears to be nowhere near a team issue with team issues having all the cabling on the top bar and none on the down tube for that period

Also the frame number shows it as a 1994 marin palisades trial. A very much lower in the range bike

Probably an idea to change your listing to 'palisades' at least then you'd sell it honestly - bit of a bummer if you paid team prices for it, huh.
I'd just take it on the chin and put the cash towards another bike, bikes don't have to cost the earth for something that rides well.

is that safe to ride with those forks? i think the steering could be a bit sketchy..... could be a case for claims direct?

Oh, I thought this was an eBay auction not a members own bike for sale otherwise I might not have been so honest. What do I know anyway, 4 bidders seem keen already. Maybe there are loads of Orange County Chopper fans out there.

and isn't calling this patch of missing paint on the top tube 'a scratch' stretching the truth as much as calling a Palisades a Team Issue?

looks like the paint was a rattle can job judging by the amount that's missing all over the frame!

i hope he's going to trim that steerer before the sale! i don't see how it's possible to compress the headset correctly.
