marin bike identification

i came across a marin bike, i need help to findout the model of that bike. i narrow it to two models:
1- the indain fire trail >94 because 94 uses still cantilever brakes.
2- Nail trail

i could be another model but i found thoses two that are similar to this bike

Serial might make it quicker.

Marin switched to V's on its main bikes in 1997.

Search on the downtube decal and the colour of it.

My guess would be 1997 Nail Trail as the IFT always had a fatter downtube.

I'd say 1997 Nail Trail too.
DT decal is correct style and colour, the yellow sticker could easily cover the small Nail Trail decal. Is there another sticker in the same place on the other side?
Although the forks do not look original - they look like earlier Rockstars, maybe 94. The 97 forks had a different decals and did not have Marin down the legs, which I think I can see remnants of?
And it would have had replacement wheels, rear mech, crank, seat post, brakes(?)....
The stem, bars, shifters and bar ends look correct for 97.

So, 97 NT frame with some later changes.
Maybe.

The forks actually look like they have the 1996 decal.
So it is possible the 97 frame was built with a 96 fork from new.
