Marin Bike ID help

Hi,

I'd like some help identifying a Marin I scored today. Unfortunately, some of the decals are missing. I'm thinking it's a 1993 Team Marin.
Appreciate the help

Welcome. Yes: 93 Team Marin frame I think ( and I have one). The seatpost may also belong but think everything else is not original to that. A good find though and the frame looks better than mine when I got it.

Just check the serial number ...I mean, tell us! Its under the bottom bracket shell.

General appearance (frame type, font type and colir etc.) hints to 1993 Team Marin, yes. Plus, your cable stops are on the steerer tube rather than on the down tube. That sais: model "Team Marin" as well.

Thank you! Brilliant. The groupset seems to be original, the handlebar and the rims also. I actually think it's just the fork that's been replaced. And the grip shifters?

How did you get your frame looking that nice? And do you know if it's Tange Ultrastrong or Ultralight? I've seen Team Marins with either.

The group set is not original. Originally it came with the XT group one generation older. Cheers
