MacRetro chat and rides thread

I've done my fair share of climbing etc that was maybe a bit ill advised but the guys in the video appeared to have no understanding of where they were or the way it can turn in the mountains at the drop of a hat.

Likewise, managed risk is one thing but those guys a didn't appear to have any ability to get themselves out of a situation should anything go wrong. That's irresponsible and ironicly it's actually very selfish.

I'm off

Hi guys
I am about to head off for a ride tomorrow. Starting in Forres we are riding the Derva way to Grantown for dinner, then swap the bikes for the canoes and head down the Spey rough camping for friday and saturday night enjoying a leisurely paddle to Spey bay.
Weather doesn't look that great for fri/sat, thats life I suppose.
Just thought I would share

Jamie

Want to do a open canoe/camping trip sometime with the family. We bought an open canoe last year but didn't get the chance to do it as the weather was too pish for camping/bivvying.

Oldest daughter did the open canoe trip down Spey to Spey Bay as part of her D of E.

Looking for some suggestion for accommodation in Fort William. reasonable rates and bike friendly would be good.

Every fragment of my designer head says "no" to that design, the twisting forces are contained along too narrow a line between the two wheel axles and the weight is carried too high up above the trailer wheel axle. BUT they do sell and although Ive never looked Ive never seen any bad press about them so .................. :?

Rob where does your trailer pivot? Where it attaches to the bike and the steering bit?
