I got up OK then fell back down again.
Anybody had any experience of Vertigo? :?

Well Im just back from the doctors and yeah its Vertigo so at least Ive got a good excuse for falling off all the time. ;)

Well I learnt something new today...

The term vertigo is often incorrectly used to describe a fear of heights.

However, acrophobia is the medical name for the dizzy feeling that's often experienced when looking down from a high place.

Sorry to here that Rob - if it is anything like the labyrinthitis I had a few years back it is a horrible thing - totally dizzy with the room spinning and nausea too - I thought I was having a stroke the first time it happened. I didn't got to the doctor till it happened whilst I was doing 70mph in the outside lane of the A9.

If it happens regularly like mine did you might get given motion sickness pills - I was on them for 6 months until the infection went away.

If you need to ride your bike/mc, taking motion sickness pills might prevent issues whilst riding. Have you been told to stop driving?

It can be caused by things like just the way you get up as well as ear infections.

Calling Dr Ken! Calling Dr Ken ;)
Your 100% correct, Ive just this minute taken the first pill but the Doc didnt say stop driving but suggests staying off the bike/mc we'll see

Well I nearly crashed with a car full of kids - Marnie wisnae happy - I even asked her to take the wheel but she didn't, I had to cross a busy lane and get to the next slip road, all with a left to right pan happening to my vision every 1/4 second.
Once on the slip, I bumped onto the grass and slammed the brakes on - got out and sat on the ground with my eyes shut.
Marnie drove home after that and I went to the docs the next morning.

I didn't cycle for a few months and only drove if I had to for the first month. The pills meant it didn't happen again and I came off them after 6 months but was told to go back on if I had any more episodes.
Overall I think I had around 6 episodes over a month before going to the docs.

I think once you are on the pills you will be ok to drive.
