MacRetro chat and rides thread

Looks good to me. I was up in torridon earlier this year, lots of good routes and the longest decent i have have every had the privilege of crashing out on  i laugh now but 7pm on a deserted hill on my lonesome, consider myself very lucky.

Thats was the loop from Torridon along loch Clair through Drochaid Coire Lair to Achnashellach then along to Coulags up n over Bealach na Lice with a superb final descent back to Torridon.

The weathers normally drier in apr/may up there. Accommodation needs planned in advance as those hills are very popular. I was short notice, traveling about on a whim, however there was no space in bunkhouse, 2 hotels and 4 b&bs.

Will definetely be at the freeze yer baws aff gig, also the Tress not sure about the expedition outings.

As for down south, will definetely make more effort next year, will need to plan time off though, idealy a trip in the middle of a holiday, with the amount of driving i do Monday to Friday cant face a long M-way trip at the weekend.

Will try and get to any other stuff going on :), feel like i've not done much riding at all this year.

So what's your Torridon route then K?

Torridon loop is from this months MTB rider, it also has anothe super highland tour, I'll get some details later :)

I'm scheduling the MacKlunker for May sometime but other than that lets just ride lots although we have got to keep our GT meet and we should try to keep that one a retrobike only event. Bit pointless marking a regular MacRetro meet on modern bikes.
