2nd route is the one to go with. Still a constant slog to Ben Ever though. Downhill most of the way from Ben Cleuch to Tillicoultry.

Avoid the Law hill.

The edge of the Silver Glen is just to the right of my garage in this photo.

MacRetro 2012

29thJanuary: TK baltic bawbags, MacRetro classic season opener.

Easter: Skye(?) expedition

26thMay: 10 UTB /Etape Caledonia

22nd-24thJune: Mountain Mayhem? entries open end Feb.

2nd or 3rdJune: Glentress annual

Autumn: MacRetro National(poss natrual Inners)

Autumn: Expedition Torridon(?)[/quote]

Can I also ask why folks think we never really travelled to some of the other nationals? I personally felt a wee bit guilty when I saw how far some of the attendees at ours came. Would a bit of organisation regarding logistics be appropriate?

As we'll probably discover next week, late autumn expeditions eg Torridon are likely to be fraught with difficulty and should perhaps be undertaken in early summer, although I know that clashes with other events.

Travelling to nationals down south: Have you seen the price of fuel recently, mon!

:D
