Nipped doon GT this morning bright and early, had the obligatory puncture 5 minutes from the end. While fixing, said hello to a lovely young lady riding an Ellesworth. She looked at me funny for a moment (as women typically do when I dare speak to them), but then she asked,' Are you from MacRetro? '

I'd really like to do a wilderness yomp if my health will let me. I already have the tent ( 1 person bivvy tent, a Terra Nova Jupiter, expensive but great). I wanted to get into that sort of thing 7 or so years ago but got struck down with the M.E. :roll:
Anyhoo my bike adventure starts tomorrow as I set forth for the ferry at Newcastle and SSEC in Belgium. Thus I'll not be in the forum after I sign off tonight untill the 5th of May
