MacRetro chat and rides thread

Sad to hear you go Dr S. I hope your departure is only temporary, would be good to see you at the BDW or Drum - they are a long way off so it might give you some time to gather your thoughts.

Either way have a good break.

Blimey Si is going, shouldn't let stuff get to you like this but its your choice Si, good luck ;)

Not buying anymore bikes for the forseeable future, there are possible interest rate increases, VAT's up, everythings more expensive and my salary is frozen. I need to save pennies incase of unplanned expense

Anyhoo just got my last frame before self inflicted ban, an early 90's alloy frame 22" frame, thought it might be a Scott but now less sure, possibly a muddyfox, needs more research :?

Done some research on my new mtb frame and forks, its not a Dale as the ebay seller claimed, its not a Scott Superlite as was the first educated guess, its a.......................Muddyfox Aluminum Pro from 1989 with 1" headset and 130mm OLN drop outs. Chuffed with that an alloy bike from 89, cool

I love this site, so much useful info :D :D :D

OK guys. Desk is empty, badge handed over. Its been some time coming and now is the time to say farewell. I didn't expect retirement to come so early but the thought of long lay ins, days spent shuffling around the garden, three hot meals a day, selective deafness, falling asleep mid conversation etc. Is quite appealing.
I'd like to say a huge thanks to you guys for being such good friends and having me along at the rides. I am giving bikes a rest for the forseeable, but never say never. I hope that our paths will cross again at some point.

Happy dry trails to you all.

Si
