History i'd think, with that much material cut out there longevity cant have been good :shock:

I do currently have at least 14 frames but that is staying that, I must stop this madness.

As for metal fatigue in old alloy frames, the ones I've owned from 89-92 were all overbuilt, possibly as no one was taking chances with the new wonder material, and they've all given me no problems. They do tend to be heavier and stiffer than later stuff, a bit bone jarring :roll:
