MacRetro chat and rides thread

Since we all seem to have crackin trails at our respective locals would it not make sense to plan trips to each others areas? Might be to busy this year but I'd be keen for it to be part of the calender next year- west, east, central, north and really north!?

Are you still up for doing the Etape Caladonia the day after 10 under the Ben?
I am up for it and am looking at the entry tonight. I will probably stay at Newtonmore or somewhere that way on the Sat night if I do it, just so its a bit closer to Pitlochry in the morning. Have been meaning to do it for a few years. Its not a very long one and climbs are not too bad.
Drop me a line and let me know.
Anyone else? Gaz? you've now come across to light.

Skeelsie is selling a braze on XT front mech just now - think someone here (RobMac? Mikee?) was looking for one a few weeks back .

If the right one - I've dibbed it for ya :D

If not then I'll undib it

Jamie, Sorry but I really was joking about doing both (this year at least) I am no where near fit enough for the climbs yet.

I have a few friends that do it and that is the reason I built the gazelle, I will be doing it next year though.

rob ... enter here but it might be full, or you might need to raise a minimum sponsorship at this stage. http://etapecaledonia.co.uk/

I dibs first local trail meet as I've been planning my route for ages. A circuit currently stands at 15.5 miles but the final return is too tame so may have to add a few more hills and miles to get more singletrack'trails in. Found some cracking rooty singletrack on Saturday and some exciting descents, scenery is cracking too
