MacRetro chat and rides thread

Too much glitter, not enough pink. After all, I like to think of myself as a discerning pink-ophile. Now iff someone would do a pippa pig version of the 'dougals' (with curly pig-tail streamers) I'd be all over them.

Quick question guys as I look around the place it looks like Bulls Eye cranks seem to be still prety cool, or am I wrong????

Rob

Cooler than a polar bears dangly bits ;)

Cheers, the reason I asked was that theres one thing I dont like about my Pace its fitted with Bulls Eye cranks, now the cranks are OK but the B/B bearings are made of chocolate and I'd thought about changing the whole set up to something more conventional. Your thoughts??????

Rob

Sorry, no idea about the Raleigh racer, I didn't get into bicycles until the 90's, before that they were just transport to me to be used and abused. My wee brother had a 5 speed racer from the late 70's early 80's I think it was a Raleigh, champagne in colour, beyond that I know nothing

As for Jimi's seat binder bolt request, got loads of what he's after but all tatty low end, I'll try and find a good one ;)

Some things you have to live with and a Pace with bullesyes isnae the worst  Try conatcting Gil who used to do a kit which allowed you to use modern external bearings with bullies. IIRC the ken has a bit of info on it, in fact he may actually be running it on his GT.

Are the bearings a standard size ?, if they are you could get them matched up at a local bearing place. If not Dr-S did a resto on an RC-100, pretty sure he could point you in the right direction ;)

Seatbolt would be great Velo, even if it just tightens up and holds the seatpost, not looking for anything flash ;)

cantis

Hey jimihendrix
I have a LX group set, everything but the cranks in my for sale post.
If you dont have any luck with Gazza's pair let me know and I can split them out. We can work something out, not wanting much for that stuff.
If anyone wants something from here let me know as its the usual special deals for macretro's.
