MacRetro chat and rides thread

I'd looked at carpet tape when I bought the duct tape. I'm off down the street so may pop into the hardware store. :)

Was looking at that Salsa Jelly Bean frame on ebay eBay, and it got me to thinking - would it be really wrong if I jelly beaned my Hardrock? Hmmm, a poll perhaps...

No real need for a poll, it would be a BAD idea. I was going to compare it to an MR2 made to look like a Ferrari but that doesn't eevn come close.

No,l but double sided carpet tape could sort that for you. It is so incredibly adhesive that it is pretty much one shot that you have to get the placement right, although if you apply the tape to the tyre first it could work well.

I went for a double sided tape but its only about and 1" wide. Think I'll run it up the centre and use a tube as a moveable layer kinda thing.

But it would look so spiffy! It's not like I'd actually slap salsa decals on it and try to pretend, though I'd probably go with a jelly bean headtube specialized 'S'.

Fed up with the plain white, don't think there is much point decaling it up (already quite a few chips and marks), and splatter painting it doesn't appeal.

Sorry, I was meaning that the carpet tape could be used to stick the damp proof course stuff inside your tyre and thus keep it in position to cover the screwheads.

Gazz - that 26.4 post - you want me to bring that up to Dunkeld for you, or would you prefer to have it sonner?

It's quite short (255), it's the one you gave me with the Stumpy.

Ice and snow

No, we need the ice and snow like last year....well the snow at least.
The amount of snow there at the moment, if it melts it will be like rivers down those trails :)
is theKen the official photographer again? I dont think anyone could do it better.
Are we eating/drinking afterwards?
