I like the look of them, although they may be too short when it comes to the actual riding... so shouldn't be a problem for a garage queen

Black plastic chain thingummybob on the back wheel needs to go though - you take that off and I'll consider ditching my pink chain.

seems like the chains days are numbered then, your right ZZ it looks bad it will be coming off- infact it is a cannondale guard so if I can get the 4 prong suntour cassette remover, Dr S can have it for his dale (however I will be keeping the saddle )

I think that now Velo has lots more spare time on his hands he should get a bike together and enter one month, indeed we should all try to put a bike in.

Don't think I'll be entering the Rockhopper for BOTM in it's current state. I couldn't stand the pink chain/modern crankset/frogleggs/Token grips abuse :roll: It might fair a bit better in an SS only BOTM, I think there's a bit more leeway there.

cheers ZZ but I might just take it to the LBS as I have read you need a good bit of grunt to get it off (bench clamp etc..) so might let the pro's do it. I have a set of cranks that you could have if you fancy painting them black, can get you the m number if it's any use to you?

I'd just like to say "I HATE THIS PLACE" since coming on here I think I could have a second 'money pit' No1 being motorbikes and No2 is retro bikes.
I have a wee sniff around and Im like a kid in a sweet shop

Thanks for the offer Gazz, I've got an old set dotting about as well that I could paint, but I think I'll just bide my time and keep my eyes open for something in the For Sale section.

Rob - You're no wrong. I lost one moneypit (my ex-wife) but gained another when I found this place :cry: Still, bikes are preferable to shoes and handbags, and now I can get a ride whenever I want :shock:
