i picked a set of 32 hole rims out for the tripple disc project weeks ago but between then and now i've managed to build and fit them to my progear ? so the only set of wheels i have left were on the gt to start with and they are 36 hole rims , my twin disc hub has 32 holes :roll:

so now i need a black 32h rim.............. ta da

I have black rimmed spesh front wheel dx hub i think not sure on number of holes is one wheel enough?

I qualify as according to the retro elite, simply buying from ebay is not enough, you've got to suffer/sweat/dig/delve/finesse/wangle/beg/steal and borrow for the bike to even be worthy- in that case I'm in your gang

Weclome, but it's no a gang (for that would be elitist and divisive) - JOAB is simply a state of mind. Will give the roadie a bit of thought, haven't slung my leg over a proper racer in dunkey's years.

Kaiser, that thread was a bit of an eye opener, especially as someone new to the 'scene', and just the kind of twat that some of them were objecting too. Interesting range of view points though, from the 'throw my toys out the pram because old bikes are becoming more popular and it's no longer an exclusive club' to the 'I'm better than you because of my choice in bikes/components'. I suspect though that this kind of thing is common in other retro areas (classic cars is surely just as bad if not worse given the money involved there) - human nature I suppose, and there's not a lot to be done about it.

Alec, if I had a spare disc rim I'd be donating it to ya for nought just to be a part of the twin disc madness.

i've found a lesser branded rim with eyelets for the same money on ebay so will prob go for that one , but cheers for the link
