The baltic element was the best bit as a couple of miles were paths over upland bogs. Not squelchy at all as it was frozen solid, mind you the churned up mud of last week was VERY rough to ride over :LOL:
 
Got out for a quick couple of hours up the Pentlands. Views were magnificient today, with the Forth and most of Edinburgh bathed in fog.

I was going to try and wax lyrical about how the trails totally change at this time of year, but suffice to say, it's like riding somewhere new now that the run-offs are frozen and the mud and ruts are like concrete. Good afternoon's ride, and the light as the sun went down was just beautiful. One of those moments where you just have to stop for a minute, appreciate the silence and look around in wonder.
 
Sounds like 2 classic rides, you boys have shamed me, I just couldn't be bothered- nursing a hang over so stayed in and watched the goggle box, note to self, must try harder :oops:
