looks a belter JH and as velo said, you just got to get out- go on youtube and watch some mt bike vids. that always gets me inspired, mind you went out today and got another flat  2 mile walk home, but did give me lots of fettling time, got the clockwork stripped and ready for sale- any ideas on a price, paintwork is pretty scratched but got no response from the How much thread?

looks like the begining of a very nice mt bike albeit ano hell I suspect given your previous

Fantastico day at the tress, found yet more secret trail, rode the green route flat out which was seriously big grins, did the red descent and due to an adrenaline shot caused by a narrowly missed wipeout the red mist descended and I rode like a loony on the edge of my ability  I even got air off every jump I could find

Further reminded that I do need disc brakes but suspension is still for fairies

ZZ was on form, riding up all the hills SS stylee and going down again like a man possessed, could not keep up even with the red mist. He even avoided crashing untill the end of the last bit of red back at the bottom of the hill, then fell over fully clipped in infront of a crowd

Finally we met a journo from IMBikeMag.com (whoever they are) who was doing a piece on GT and asked us a few questions about retro bike and our take on the tress. We waxed lyrical and positive of course as you would expect

The Pie Run has been slightly sanitised with more path material so that some of the roots are less extreme but this of course makes it faster so swings and roundabouts

Nice one eck, do me proud :D

Went down to the Drum today, weather was looking good till Kirkconnell where it started pishin. Undeterred I carried on and it eased off a bit. Got ready and unloaded the car Rik came over for a chat about the Salsa and mentioned Thursday night rides . Said I'd pop into the shop later on. Out on the trail managed another over the bars job this time ran with it and managed to catch it , still put a slight bend in my mech hanger though :(

Met a guy on the way round and tagged along wisnae much up for the restin but it was good for it, kept the pace up and done the red/black in just under 1hr 40. He also mentioned Walkers doing night runs on Wednesdays. So plenty night run options.

Went by the shop and they just happened to have the rims I'm after for the Kona, wife will kill me but I bought them anyway :)

All in all a good one :D

I'm glad you west coasters have got the Drum, makes me less guilty about having GT on my doorstep.

Watch yourself with those scary brakes Kaiser ;)

Good weekends mtb it would seem to me all round :D
