MacRetro chat and rides thread

Getting technical now chaps  TK kinda know what your thinking though Ive already bent a screwdriver(big one too) so I don't think the washer will hold up.

Big.eck  your power daft you are  , as much as I'd like to save the post I reckon I would sacrifice it before possibly damaging the frame.

I'm gonna start work tonight on my multi torque loosener, or big stick

Mini Clockwork for November pre-crimbo BOTM. Nice story (ahhhh) and cracking paintwork by one of our own.

Heat outside of frame tube, cool inside of seatpost then get medeival with the post

Not sure how to do this but possibly pass cold water via hose through seatpost and pour boiling water over frame at same time.

Hopefully frame material expands a wee bit and tube contracts a wee bit.

Ideally if you could get hold of some liquid nitrogen or dry ice for the cooling bit you could get a faster result. A guy at my work used a method involving liquid N2 to fit a steering race to his motorbikes forks.

Velo I've tried the hot water outside and I've tried a product called rost off which freezes the material down to -40 though I've not tried both at the same time. I could get some dry ice and try it, next step will be to bring it to work and get industrial on its ass.

Gazz couldnae agree more :D it twas to be removed and polished anyroads. I have a particular dislike to the blue/turq ano stuff. Especially on Yeti or FAT.
