Velo theres plenty opportunity for the team stuff at some of these 'races' I think at most of our ages (your not 40 yet) taking part in whatever capacity is all we can ask. Also SSUK completed on a singlespeed would mean a 50K on a geared bike should be well doable. And I'm still planning to do at least 1 of the 3 SS events probably 2. AND if the racing stuff is prevalent its cos were like kids with a new toy and nobody is organising any rides. Your mantra for today is 'your better than you think' and 'HTFU'.
Morning MacRetro. I like number 1. Looks classy and well balanced.
Well we have another important landmark steed in the Ecurie this morning. I forgot that I had bid on it and was very surprised to score it in the early hours.
Its one of the first ever Stumpies built back in 82. It was a personal gift from Mike Sinyard to the owner or Santa Cruz Skateboards and is in great original condition. Surely got to be the oldest MTB in the UK when it lands. Just need that Breezer, a Cunningham and another AMP to complete my dream collection now! http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200 ... 0381355158

It won't get hammered or abused but will get riden aplenty. Probably have it out on the next Stanes jaunt. I was very surprised that it went so cheap. Its a very impotant bike in super condition- good to get it over here from under the VRCs noses.
