I'm liking your thinkin'

I wasn't going to just clash old parts on it though. I'm thinking of taking new parts modded to look if not older but timeless. I'm gladly stuck with discs but these can be made to look cool and old skool- little CNC machined and polished calipers for example.
As a starter I got hold of some very wide Easton flat bars which I have stripped and refinished with a satin brushed finish. I'm going to sand blast the Easton logo back onto them.
I think I'm going to go singlespeed and with sus corrected rigid forks. I fancy getting a narrow brown Brooks saddle and have a go at hand cutting it into the same shape as a Flite too. 'whadda yerthink?

Si

Some nice touches 8) I went for Hope disc levers and calipers. DH4's nice and cnc'y ditto the levers (can't remember the model). Bar wise theres plenty to choose from Surly torsion bars or groovys, be keen to see how the easton's turn out. Brooks are always problematic IMO great idea but never seem to sit right :? I've had my B17 on every bike and it looks weird.

Si, my Brooks saddle is sort of up for sale,

B15 Champion Narrow - no springs - nut has never been adjusted, I don't think it was used much before I got it, but it is a little rusty underneath and the leather has surface cracks.

It is really comfy but I am finding it hard to hold on to as I need money for roady nonsense. £38 picked up at a meet, £43 posted. I'll get pics if you are interested.

The ken did you notice ribble have 15% off at the mo and have 105 10spd shifters for £170?

Kaiser, no longer need the brakes but thanks anyway.

Can't ride a roadbike untill I've built or bought one, this is frustrating me but finances forever must be worked within.

Fancy shorter Sportives say 50-70 miles.

yes but at the moment that is about 70 more than I want to spend, I have been looking at ebay second hand stuff but I am a bit wary as I have seen a few reports of wear on irreplacable parts.
