Ritual bike hanging,

There is no actual ritual its just something that happened big style this year.

Tradition for SS races is a Le Mans start although this also does not happen every year. The bikes are placed in one area by their riders who then retreat to another location to await the start. Whilst waiting the marshals traditionally do acts of amusing wickedness to the riders bikes. In the past all On-One Inbred bikes which are very common at british meets were piled on top of each other in a corner. Other bikes might be hung in trees or a wheel removed etc. This year since the bike parking area was a wood, the competitors pre empted the marshalls by doing the wicked deeds themselves. The marshals thus just to spite us did nothing to the bikes at all

This year was very organised which is weird, everything happened when it was supposed to and the SS beer was fantastic.

Next year we'll see if the taffy's can organise a piss up in a brewery, I for one have high hopes and cant wait

Velo (successfully completed an SS race at the third time of asking :D )
