Bars were a bitch to find, cost too much and took seven weeks to arrive. That apart they are great. Just look for 26" cruiser parts on the bay. Do you have wheels yet? They are the hardest part to get hold of. I had to buy a quite tidy 84 Saracen to get my Klunker wheels.

So Gash not getting the Schwinns? You might be suprised when you try it out in Trumpton next month. I can honestly say I loved every minute of it on Saturday.

Can I just boing the topic of a weekender taking in some of the finest the North has to offer, anyone had any thoughts? Have a date in mind of the end of August. Looking at a Fri(optional) Saturday and Sunday.

As you say Si will keep an open mind till I have givenn it a shot. I got into biking in 1990 and had no love for "old" bikes then so find it hard to see beauty in these history machines- they look dangerous to me, but I know nowt so pay no heed to me.

Yey was some nice bars there Kaiser, thought you would like them, saw those weirdy beardy bars you are getting nitto or some such? enough hand positions for a family of five.

I've always wanted to go to the North of Scotland- Knockhill is as far as I have ever ventured North, so put me down as a possible. I will see if I can get another pass out from Le Dragon.

Three days in a row would be too much for me I'm afraid especially near the time when I'd be going back to college...oh and Lisa just looked over my shoulder and said "Aye, there's no chance of that happening."

I find that a swift and well aimed poke in the eye works well in that situation. As ever accuracy is everything.
