I might be daft but I'm not stupid. Doing Mayhem as part of a team- not solo, but will be using the Schwinn for at least a lap. I was so impressed with it yesterday, it kept up with much better riders on much better bikes and I even managed to pressure Sith into a mistake on the last decent by hounding him down the hill and giving him abuse. Once I got past him I took the last few open hairpins in full CK style foot down slides. One of my favourite ever cycling moments.
of course the great unwashed though I had been for a ride on my grans old bike or some tacky Electra Cruiser off eBay only had one knowing nod all day :roll:

it looked very nice when I saw it on the west highland macretro meet- is kind of big but maybe not too big? still think it is a rider- it had a great colour if I recal so may just get it up and running before I decide to paint or not- like this concept of Patina (sp?).

will be great to see the lightweight aristo ritchie next to the heavyweight working class hero at trumpton The black jacks will be hard won for Dr S with that bike however I for one will be staying well clear of him on those downhills Lots of heavy metal coming at you!
