That's tragic, makes you think you should check out those aches and pains when you get to our age. Thoughts are with his family, can't imaging what they are going through.
 
RIP Brian, one of the good guys is no more, my thoughts go out to his family. Devastating.

I first met Brian here on Retrobike, later we became colleagues and just connected. Despite the long distance we managed to ride together a few times, both in Holland and in Scotland. He left me for dead going uphill on his beloved 95 Explosif singlespeed. He was such a genuine nice guy, very fit, nuts about his bikes and so very much alive and kicking.

Ride on Brian ....

All change in Edinburgh, two of the small independents have gone bust, MacDonald Cycles and Bicycle Repairman and now another big boys moving in. Soon it'll only be the big chains and that'll be sad.
