You don't have to accept dibs at all if you don't wish to. However I would expect a dibs to expire after 24hrs unless a prior arrangement has been made or a time discussed.
Unlike some other forums retrobike doesn't really have any rules regarding due process of sales. You can get a list of 5 people lining up and you can choose the 5th in line if you wish to or choose none and go with someone via a PM who didn't even post on your thread. It's up to you.
