Or the worst. All the drag of a fat tyre without the ability to go where a full fat will. Anyway, proper niche would be 29er front / fat rear ;)


Depends on the bike V, my flash 29er accelerates like no MTB I've ever owned.

As ZZ said on Sunday, Riding a fatty is like cheating, they just go everywhere and over anything. Really glad I decided to go for one. Totally different riding style.
 
Fitted a 26 x 2.6 nokian gazalodi DH tyre to one of those 65mm wide rims I have. Impressive, its got almost as wide a footprint as a proper fat tyre, runs super low psi but still is only around 26" diameter. Old school floatation tyre mtb in the offing me thinks.
