Low spec Flandria 197x

Because there are never enough Flandria bikes!

I've bought this bike some time ago. It was more or less ok. It needed some good cleaning, new stickers, new tressoplast bar tape, new inner and outer cables, some paint chip retouches and a tube of autosol. I had some problems with the BB too, but that's fixed with some great advice from this forum!

Because it's just a basic bike and the frame is way to small for me (54) I had the idea to sell it. But now it's standing there, I'm thinking more and more about just keeping it in the collection

Correct, the paint isn't in the best condition at all. Since it's a low spec bike and I would like to keep 'the character' in the bike, I decided to keep the original paint and not respray it.

I've added a new headtube decal recently. Now I'm just looking for straps and gum brakehoods to finish it.

Hello,

I've just finished upgrading this lovely bike with some more decent parts. The changes:

- Campagnolo Gran Sport rear/front derailleur, cranks and shifters
- Campagnolo Gran Sport brake calipers (notice the DIY-drop bolt I've installed on the rear)
- Weinmann calipers with new (CLB) amber hoods
- New spic and span white bar tape, since the previous had 'yellowed' a bit
- New stickers: you can see that the decals in the old pictures aren't completely correct. This imperfection bothered me so much that I've got some new selfmade decals
- Red brake cable outers
- White straps with a red stitch
- Silca Flandria pantographed handpump
- NOS REG cable clips

Nice solution you did on teh front derailleur. But there are still some older Campagnolo types with a stop on it. Nice job done bytheway. I like the Flandria's.
